The work at Seer is tough and there is never ever a dull minute! Ive been here for 8 years and Im still always growing, learning, and stretching my limitations.
Individuals are clever, kind, modest, and hard-working. Put simply, they are the very best.
Youve been the diva in the band the Bigness, inform us more about your music!
Music has actually constantly been a big part of my household. My daddy, my grandpa, and my uncles are all artists.
I first began music when I was in very first grade with piano lessons and after that when I got into like 5th grade, I wished to be cool haha so I chose to find out the bass guitar and, and then in about seventh and 6th grade, I chose that I wished to have the ability to play anywhere anytime and accompany myself so thats when I discovered guitar.
From there, guitar was actually my primary instrument and I played solo for along time. I was in numerous bands though and in high school remained in a feminist punk rock band.
Post college after I satisfied my partner, we started playing together. I played bass in atrioventricular bundle and eventually we decided to really simply attempt to make a band around my solo stuff which is how The Bigness, our band was born. Which was really the focus for our path because 2011, in late 2011 is when we launched our very first EPs.
Long story short music has always been a huge part of my identity and is what I do to process the world around me and to get in touch with others.
Where do you live? What should we not miss in your city if we pertain to check out?
I recently moved to Ithaca, NY. The “Ithaca is Gorges” cliche exists for a factor.
There are many spectacular waterfalls and canyon routes. If you visit, I d extremely advise Treman State Park, Buttermilk Falls, and Cascadilla Gorge!
What is your preferred part of your Seer career that isnt part of your task description?
I love the opportunity to mentor others. Ive gotten the possibility to do that in a great deal of different ways at Seer..
Primarily, its with other designers on the Creative team or folks from other departments with which I team up frequently.
However a substantial shoutout to Lauren Boyd from the People Team, who linked me with another opportunity to do so.
Lauren regularly volunteers with Hopeworks, and shes connected me with young designers at that company so I can assist with portfolio reviews.
Its interesting to see such gifted people and to be able to play a bit part in their advancement.
