Google Merchant Center published a new policy that prohibits advertising and promoting High Fat Sugar Salt (HFSS) Food and Beverage (F&B) advertisements for minors in the United Kingdom and European Union. We think about advertisements to be promoting the sale of HFSS items when one or more HFSS food meal, item, or beverage is promoted in the advertisement (text, video, images and/or audio) or location site. Specifically, Shopping advertisements that consist of HFSS foods and beverages are now restricted from targeting minors,” Google said.
